Why are people unkind about the Duggars?

Okay, I can understand you don’t agree with them, I can understand even if you HATE their beliefs but why say unkind things about them?

I mean they love God, follow their beliefs strongly, teach their children to help and care for others before themselves and give and care for the poor. How can this cause people to say mean things about them?

Don’t you think if you were hungry and needed their help they would help you hands down? Yet people say such unkind things about them.

I think if we acted more like them the world would be a way nicer place, with less crime, poverty and hunger as well as a more caring and united society. If everyone tried to be this good of a Christian we would have such a better world!

I know people say they’re being selfish by having that many kids. . . . . which first of all that’s really actually selfLESS because they don’t have alot of time to do their OWN things, they chase after kids all day and have to pay for all of them. So I really don’t get people saying that.

Okay they think we’re too populated but you know what? 100 Years ago EVERYONE pretty much was having 6-12 kids and we did alright. . . . . and yeah most of the CITIES are over populated but have you guys seen how most countries still have a VAST amount of land in rual areas?

Anyways, I don’t see how it’s that bad when everyone now a days has 1-3 kids and in the past it was normal to have 6-12 but whatever. . .

And last but not least, for people who don’t watch the show. They are DEBT FREE and were before they HAD the show. They own their own business and are 100% debt free before they ever started filming.

They haven’t used the tax payers money, your money, so you can’t have that against them.

I don’t know about you guys but I think it’s so backwards that our society shuns people like the Duggars who are kind and giving and don’t use tax payers money

But single mom’s running around with 4 kids while being on welfare is nothing strange in our “wise” society.

Saying unkind things about people who do nothing to harm people and infact live calm, peaceful, debtfree, Christian lives is infact to me very backwards and unkind.

I want to know why you would say mean things about this family that would feed and clothe you if you were in need? Does it make you feel better about your own life?

Honestly I want to know what makes you say mean things about them.

Having that many children is abuse in and of itself…

Passive Neglect is as valid a form of neglect as active neglect… That dog in heat has stolen the childhoods of her children by making them have to parent the younger kids because mommy and daddy can’t actively parent all 19 kids and give them the individual attention each needs to grow up as a healthy, well adjusted adult.

That family is, basically, its own ecosystem… Yes, they do go and visit the neighbor that has 17 kids of her own but because all the children in the area are home schooled and do family activities, they have never learned the social skills that will be required to interact with REAL PEOPLE in the REAL WORLD.

These kids are in for a HORRIBLE shock if they decide to join us in the 21st century.

    That woman should be spayed…

The mom is getting too old now to have babies and she’s gonna start having deformed kids and it’s gonna put a strain on our health care system.

  3. I don’t know about saying unkind things about them, but I think people react negatively to a situation such as theirs because it seems impossible to raise normal, healthy children in such an environment. I think we automatically try to put ourselves in the shoes of one of those kids and reel over how bafflingly frustrating it must be to compete with so many other siblings. Also, the potential for child neglect is much more immediate when you are responsible for that many children, no matter how great your financial situation is now or how strong your faith is (Things change in the blink of an eye, you know. Numbers are numbers.) Also, sorry to say this, but sometimes putting a commitment to one’s religion ahead of everything else, even above putting a sensible maximum on the number of children you have seems, well, kinda selfish. Who are they doing it for? Their children, or their own salvation? Just a thought. Not judging. Just how I see it and I and everyone else has the right to voice our opinion as much as you have to yours. :-)

  4. Overpopulation is a myth perpetuated by the radical green movement. The real problems are political in nature. It is warlords and criminals that cause problems feeding people in 3rd world nations. The problem is not the supply, it is the supply chain and corruption.

  5. They have a freakish amount of kids! But having said that, they paid for them. They support them. Mr Duggar obviously makes enough to support them (Prior to the show) So why slag off on them? They are decent Christian folks, who keep to themselves and are raising well adjusted kids.

But its okay to have 4 kids by 4 different men and not have one cent of child support paid? And the state needs to step up to rescue this person?
