Which is the best consumer credit counseling agency?

I know there are lots out there. I know to look for one that’s “nonprofit. ” But I’m sure some are better than others! I just want to choose the best one.

I live in Oregon if that makes a difference.

    You can call your local Red Cross for a referral.


  2. I agree with Slimick I used Consumer Credit Counseling Services several years ago and they are great.

    They lowered my interest rate and monthly payment and I was debt free in 36-months.

  3. Just because something is “non-profit” doesn’t mean it is a rip-off. I have a client who was dealing with a non-profit debt reduction company and they did very little of the work that she was paying them a lot of money to do.
