This person is someone that might not still be living in 10 years. This person has no income other than permanent SS disability. Much of the debt has a spouse’s name on it as well. The spouse has already abandoned the debt.

especially if you dont’ have the money to pay off the monthly balance? i have $8,000 worth of credit card debt and not sure if it was a good idea to get a debt consolidation loan to pay 3 of ‘em.
