I have been a Christian for almost 10 years and it really saddens me to have to write an article exposing some who profess the name of Christ and yet have deceived many. You would think that if you wanted to get some honest and trustworthy help in getting yourself out of debt a non profit Christian debt relief agency would be your best bet, but sadly that often is just not the case. There are many that will put the name Christian in their company name just to draw in unsuspecting Christians looking for real help, only to find themselves being squeezed out of their last few dollars before they know what hit them. Not that long ago a few of these false “Christian Companies” were exposed for their true colors and were found to be fraudulent. The Consumer Federation of America and the NCLC work together to investigate and expose these services. Some of those that have been found out are said to have been giving bad advice and practicing some fast talking and mis-leading dealings. These so called “Christian” companies showed themselves to be no different than a lot of the others, only they hide underneath a deceptive “Christian Umbrella. “Basically what it comes down to is if you are looking for an honest and trustworthy organization to help you consolidate your debts don’t be fooled by their title. I suggest you visit the Consumer Federation of America website where you will be able to find what exactly your best option for a debt relief company might be and whether or not you should hire an expert or not.
