Ford Motor Unit to Apply for Banking License in Canada
June 4 (Bloomberg) — Ford Motor Co. , the only major U.S. automaker to avoid bankruptcy, plans to apply for a license to operate a bank in Canada. The bank will be known as Ford Credit Bank and will be based in Oakville, Ontario, according to a notice published today in the Canada Gazette , the government’s official regulatory publication.
